1991 was the first time I came to the Telluride Valley. I moved here from my hometown of Chicago , Illinois and although i had been to Colorado on ski trips prior to that I had never seen anything as enchanting and beutiful as this town. Telluride can get in your skin and soul and it did for me. Although I left Telluride in 1994 to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, the town and its people left its mark. I visited telluride every Fall to work for the Telluride Film Festival, a job I still hold today, and so maintained many relationships and connections here.
In August of 2004 I realized that Telluride made me so happy everytime I came that I should try and live here and so I moved from Chicago and have never looked back. Within a few months I had met my fiance, Laura, and my life has never been so good.
The word community is thrown around a lot but it really means something here. The People of telluride are very industrious and concerned with maintaining and preserving a high quality of life. The numerous non-profit and volunteeering opportunities seem limitless. I have spent time working not only for the Telluride Film Festival, but for the One -to-One mentoring program, KOTO, (our wonderfully quirky Community supported radio station), as well as the Telluride Recovery Group.
After making a home purchase in Telluride I realized that I would like to help people find a home here and facilitate their buying or selling experience. I received a Real estate license in New York State and transferred that to Colorado. I look forward to helping people find their piece of paradise here in Telluride.
